I drank alcohol and used drugs daily for 16 years, from ages 12 to 28. Some drugs I used were cocaine, crack, opium, hash, pot, LSD and prescription narcotics. I used 250,000 Tylenol #1’s the last 7 years of my using so I wouldn’t experience withdrawal.

I’ve been in 12 Step Recovery from alcohol and drug addiction since July 13th, 2000.

In 2004 I graduated the HSC program at George Brown College, majoring in addictions with a minor in mental health. I did one of my student placements at Renascent Center a 12 step men’s residential treatment center in Toronto, my alma mater.

Once weekly for 19 years, I have visited the chemical withdrawal center in Brampton where I attend 12 step meetings and offer Recovery to clients who are interested.

I currently work full time as a teaching assistant in the ASD program at a high school in Peel.

Since 2009 I’ve been in private practice as a Substance Abuse Professional, performing SAP assessments and training companies to identify, prepare and intervene with employees who have a moderate to severe SUD.
