Webinar: Trauma & Violence Informed Practice

Strength-based, empowerment perspectives of care must start with anti-oppressive understanding and move into practical skill-based action to combat stigma and provide compassion.  This Ontario Peer Development Intitiative (OPDI) is hosting this free webinar will be used to assist individuals in the use of Trauma & Violence Informed Care (TVIC) principles to enhance their everyday practice.

The webinar will involve three components: the link between structural violence, stigma and trauma; the understanding of how these three components shape the life experience of individuals living with mental health and addictions; the use of practical skills to reduce stigma and create inclusive spaces within our scope of practice.
