In 2021, Wellesley Institute partnered with the Mental Health Commission of Canada to investigate the impacts of COVID-19 on the mental health and well-being of racialized working-age adults living in the Greater Toronto Area.

To present our new research findings, we are bringing together community leaders for a virtual panel discussion on March 30, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. EST.

The event will be hosted by Wellesley Institute CEO, Dr. Kwame McKenzie, and feature the following speakers:

  • Sarah Sanford, Wellesley Institute
  • Mauriene Tolentino, Mental Health Commission of Canada
  • Aseefa Sarang, Across Boundaries
  • Liben Gebremikael, TAIBU Community Health Centre
  • Mithi Esguerra, Migrants Resource Centre Canada

At this event we will explore responses to address COVID-19-related inequities experienced by racialized communities to better understand how health systems and communities can prepare for the long-term mental health impacts of the pandemic.
