Family Caregivers! Share your story in a survey to... help shape better supports for our loved ones
This survey is focused on caregivers efforts to plan for support of family members living with mental illness who need extensive support. The survey was built on an international partnership that aims to identify, "... the tools, policies, and networks needed so our most vulnerable don’t fall through the cracks..."
“Who will replace me? I am my family member’s “go to person” who cares for
and understands him, provides direction, protects his housing and knows
how to keep him from slipping into psychosis and hospitalization. Herein lies
my greatest fear about the future for my son without me”
--Caregiver story
Background on the Survey:
The Mental Illness Caregivers Association https://micaontario.com/ (Canada) and Arafmi https://arafmi.com.au/(Australia) are partnering on a new project to identify the tools, policies, and networks needed so our most vulnerable don’t fall through the cracks and without a plan in place now our most vulnerable are at risk of increased hospitalizations, substance abuse, isolation and loneliness, food insecurity and homelessness in the future
