Recent poll points to how kids are doing under Covid-19 restrictions

The Angus Reid Institute, a Canadian non-profit research firm, recently completed a survey of 650 kids age 10 – 17 in Canada about their experiences and attitudes under Covid-19 restrictions. The results indicate that many kids are bored, miss friends, and are not liking and feeling motivated by schooling at home. In addition, a substantial portion are worried about missing schooling and about family members becoming sick.

The surveyors analysed the results by age range and found some interesting differences. For instance, the younger group (10 – 12) more often reported feeling good than the 16 – 17 year olds. The older group was more likely to report feeling angry, to miss going out without feeling worried, and to be worried about missing out on the current or next school year.
