Webinar: Creating conditions for the integration and social belonging of newcomer families
On June 11th, join Amanda Koyama from Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS) as she shares the organization’s experience of working with newcomer families, including school age children affected by trauma (Syrian and Yazidi Refugees), and the multiple systems that were engaged to enhance the provision of services by community resources outside of the traditional school setting.
Designed for social, settlement, and health service providers, the webinar will provide case studies and strategies that promote the healthy development of newcomer children while enhancing the capacity of systems to respond to the unique and diverse needs of newcomer families and children. We’ll wrap up with a Q&A session, where you can ask Amanda any questions related to your work.
