New resources: Social connection in later life
We've developed two new resources to support social connection in later life.
Strategies for social connection among isolated older adults
This evidence snapshot is for health and social service providers who work with older adults. It gives an overview of a model for social connectedness that focuses on how older adults can change their thinking, feeling and connections to reduce their distress during periods of isolation. It also provides tools (including printable handouts and a worksheet) for working with older adults to develop coping strategies for preventing or managing loneliness.
