Is psychopathy related to alexithymia?
Alexithymia is the reduced or inability to identify and describe one's emotions. When asked to describe feelings, people with alexithymia will more often describe the physical corporeal response to the feeling, rather than the complex emotion itself. Prior research has linked alexithymia to people with mental health disorders such as depression. Now, a team of Max Plank Society researchers in Germany have found a link between psychopathy and alexithymia.
