How much does cannabis contribute to Canada's economy?

The latest reporting from Stats Canada showed that the legal cannabis industry has contributed $4.66 billion to Canada's GDP as of May - up 11% from last year.

New research from BC suggests that cannabis use may serve a wide range of purposes for these people, including recreation, reducing cravings for other drugs or mitigating withdrawal from other drugs.
