I would like to know more about the status of loot-box games and how they might be regulated in the future. Additionally, I would love to come across research on cross-over patterns of addiction between substances, behaviours (eating disorders, fitness) and gambling. How at risk is the problem gambler to developing another addiction during gambling sobriety?

The title of a recently published article, A Serious Game to Improve Emotion Regulation in Treatment-Seeking Individuals With Gambling Disorder: A Usability Study , peaked my interest for a few reasons. Friends and family of people with problem gambling may experience harms although they do not gamble (or do not gamble in harmful ways) themselves. Often times, they can play a role in helping the person gambling change their behaviour in ways that reduces the harms experienced by everyone. Family members who want to save the family home and/ business act quickly to get ownership in their names. Also,by getting money away from gambler,someone with no bank account can apply for Disability. People who have a Major Mental Illness like Mania get approved.

Hi Olive I can't find the original document but it is called Ontario's problem - gambling Strategy and it has been in existence since 1996. Since 1999, it has been funded by a formula of 2 percent of gross slot machine revenue from charity casinos and slots at racetracks. Great question Mahfuz What I find often is that parents are rewarding children for following rules, rather than setting up a system where the child has a consequence of losing whatever their personal currency is when they don't follow through with expectations. I suggest parents make a list, that is clear for the child to follow, that contains both personal responsibilities as well as chores that are required. I know in the UK single events betting deals are highly advertised during major events such as football matches and horse racing.

I'm interested in the points made that legalized SESB will likely divert money into legal streams that have the potential to: 1) help people come into contact with responsible gambling (RG) platforms and 2) a portion of that diverted money can be used to fund treatment and education.
