Vicarious trauma is a common experience among medical professionals, mental health professions, direct service workers and advocates however, it is not easy to identify and deal with it's many manifestations.

A colleague of mine is psychiatrist and is trying to compile a list of 2SLGBTQ+ supportive mental health practitioners in our area that she can refer out to. Due to some issues in our town with people self-identifying as allies but that not translating into their practice, she wants the list to come from members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Right now she's just talking to clients she sees but it hoping to have a better methodology.
