Compilation of Resources to Support People with Developmental Disabilities and Families

Dear all,

Our team at H-CARDD has been hearing stories locally, provincially, nationally and internationally about communities coming together to support people with disabilities and their families. There are many great ways people are sharing information, and starting up innovative activities that help people to connect and support each other in new ways, as we all practice physical distancing.

Mental Health and COVID-19

Hi!

I'm curious if any health units/organizations have done some work around COVID-19 and mental health issues associated with it (ie. messaging, talking to your kids, workplace stress due to self isolation etc).

If so, feel free to message me or reply!

Tools to support military families?

Military Family Services Canada (MFSC) is seeking to improve the way they support family members of military personnel who are being released from service due to illness or injury and transitioning to civilian life.

They are seeking evidence-based tools (e.g. intake or assessment forms) that can be used to assess the strengths/needs/wellness of family members, and that can ultimately be used to connect military families to community services and supports.
