Broken Branches is a timely and provocative play, written by Lorene Stanwick and directed by Philip McKee. It starts a long-overdue conversation that sheds light on an important - yet silent - issue: Sibling Abuse. It is produced by CreateTruth Productions In Association with Workman Arts.

Unison Health and Community Services and Yorktown Family Services  will be  collaborating to  deliver Mind Body and Soca (MBS) program for youth aged 18-29. MBS incorporates socacize fitness which is a creative blend of Caribbean and African dance movements followed my mindfulness exercises.

MBS is opened to community members 18-29 of all genders and adaptations will be provided for all bodies and ability-levels. Community members are asked to register before attending the first session.  

Group Details

Unison Health and Community Services in partnership with  York West Active Living Centre will be running an Art Therapy Series for seniors!

This group is for community members 55 and over wishing to build relationships, learn mindfulness practices, and use art as a means of addressing concerns like anxiety, depression, and stress.  

 This nine week series will meet on Tuesdays from 10:0-12:00 am starting May 02 until June 28, 2019. It will be co-facilitated by Patricia Ki (art therapist) and Alessandra Pagilacolo (Mental Health Case Manager).

Unison Health and Community Services will be introducing Art Therapy at the Keele-Roger site this upcoming May 2019.

Art therapy is a great resource for community members 18 and over looking to build relationships, learn mindfulness practices, and use create tools like journaling and art as a  means of addressing concerns like anxiety, depression, and stress.  

On Friday May 03, 2019 Unison Health and Community Servies will be hosting a full day creative expressions class called the Tree of Life at the Jane Street Hub.

Behind The Arts aims to foster conversations about self-care, community connections, culture, and wellness through arts. This group is ideal for community members interested in build relationships, learning about healthy living, and use of the arts as a means of taking care of their overall wellness.
