brainXchange webinar: Avoidable hospital use of older adults with dementia, how can primary care help? Events

The care of people with dementia is a WHO public health priority. People with dementia use health services twice as much as people without dementia. Interdisciplinary primary care such as family practice groups and continuity of care with the family physician have been proposed as an ideal approach to managing the growing and complex population of people with dementia, but evidence of their effect is lacking, particularly in terms of equity of access to services.

brainXchange webinar: Sooner or Later: Timely Diagnosis of Dementia Events

There is widespread skepticism about the rationale for an early diagnosis of dementia and the efficacy and effectiveness of treatment interventions. A new case of Dementia arises in the world every three seconds but how many get a diagnosis let alone an effective treatment.
