Gambling, Gaming & Technology Use Community of Interest

The Gambling, Gaming & Technology Use Community of Interest brings together addiction and mental health service providers, researchers and subject matter experts in the fields of gambling, technology/Internet use and video gaming to collaborate and share knowledge on emerging trends and clinical best practices.

Hi everyone,

I recently wrote a blog focused on the value of exploring vocational goals when working with people with problem gambling. This blog post can be found here:

I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the value of vocation in this context and strategies you use to support clients' vocational pursuits (especially for those of you who are clinicians).

Thanks,

Matt

Thanks Sylvia! Yes, I look forward to speaking on the topic of meaningful activities during the webinar that I will be facilitating in March!

I should also mention that the vocational supports discussed in the blog I wrote focus on treatment for clients with problem gambling, but many of these strategies can also be applied to clients with other types of problematic behaviours, such as problem technology use.
