The Gambling, Gaming & Technology Use Community of Interest brings together addiction and mental health service providers, researchers and subject matter experts in the fields of gambling, technology/Internet use and video gaming to collaborate and share knowledge on emerging trends and clinical best practices.

* Social media can be just as harmful as it is helpful . Several studies indicated social media having both positive and negative outcomes. Such as socialization and communication; enhance learning opportunities and accessing health related information compared to depression, anxiety, catfishing, bullying, terrorism, and criminal activities being some of the negative sides of social media.

* Social media is a helpful tool when it is used for a positive predetermined goal and should be used responsibility. therefore we should promote awareness of social media addiction to  minimize adverse affects.

* Vulnerable populations are more at risk of being exploited online, which adds the the need to advocate responsible social media use and awareness of the dangers associated with social media.
