This course takes health care providers through the steps of screening, assessing and addressing impacts of cannabis use on patients and community. A brief overview of medical cannabis use is included.

Learners will encounter four fictional patients and consider the treatment approaches appropriate for each.

Research has yielded mixed findings about the relationship between hormonal contraceptive use and depression. The largest study to date on this topic — which included over one million women living in Denmark — concluded that women who are using the pill or other hormonal contraceptives are at an increased risk for depression.

Teens with Social Anxiety. Summer Group Events

This is an 8-session therapy group for teens with social anxiety. A CBT based program where teens learn how to challenge their fears using cognitive restructuring and doing exposure. An opportunity to interact with peers in a safe environment and learn how to make friends, plans for the weekend and to socialize.

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 5:30 pm
