This self-directed module will provide learners with the opportunity to increase their knowledge about concurrent cannabis and tobacco use through a focus on individual and system-level impacts. Learners will be able to screen for concurrent use and design treatment plans using a client-centered, and biopsychosocial approach. They will also acquire the skills, knowledge, and abilities to provide tailored cessation interventions.

On October 11, join IAM, together with the Young Men's Christian Association – Youth Cannabis Awareness Program (YMCA-YCAP), for "Cannabis and the Adolescent Brain".
The human brain continues developing until the age of 25. During adolescence, youth learn about the world and discover who they are as their brains mature. Risky behaviours, such as using cannabis, can have harmful effects on a developing brain when use begins in adolescence.

Course overview
Families are an immense resource in the care, treatment and recovery of individuals with co-occurring mental health and addiction problems. However, they often have limited access to the resources, information and help that they need to be supportive to the ones they love. This six-week facilitator-led online course for health care providers explores the needs of families affected by concurrent disorders, as well as the strategies that health care providers can use to empower families and ensure that their experiences are positive ones.
Virtual Knowledge Exchange Forum on Cannabis Use and Drug Treatment Court Programs Events
The Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario, and John Howard Society of Ontario, in partnership with the Provincial Human Services and Justice Coordinating Committee, are hosting a knowledge exchange forum to share the results of a community-based research project funded by the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
