Peer Support Canada has recently completed and published their 2022 – 2027 Strategic Plan. We would like to invite you to attend an online community engagement event, so that we have a chance to facilitate conversations around the context of peer support in Canada today, discuss your experiences of providing peer support within the community and respond to your questions and reflections about PSC’s plans moving forward. This discussion will be co-facilitated by Peer Support Canada staff, and Certified Mentors.
Connect with other caregivers at our Online Support Groups. We’re here to help.
We welcome you to join other caregivers (ordinary people who provide physical and emotional support to a family member, partner, friend or neighbour) in a supportive environment to share challenges, successes, and concerns you may have within your caregiving role. Discussion will be driven by caregivers to discuss issues of highest importance to caregivers. Note: Online Support Groups are not intended for crisis support or mental health counselling

Consultations are set for Wednesday, August 17 from 6-8pm (virtual via Zoom though possibly hybrid based on demand).

- What does depression look like?
- How can you stay well and get the support you need?.
After the meeting you will receive a summary of the presentation in multiple languages, including community-based resources.
For OPDI's July webinar offering, Laura Stanford of Ottawa's Pinecrest Queensway ACT, will lead a discussion on Moral Distress, which involves a threat to one’s moral integrity and what causes it.

The core pillars of the program will be discussed, which include: medication/symptom management; individual resiliency training; case management; peer support; family support; and supported employment and education.
