Research in e-mental health is growing rapidly (Lal & Adair, 2014; Mental Health Commission of Canada, 2014, 2017), likely faster than its uptake in clinical settings. In light of this, there is a need for specific knowledge synthesis activities that can provide clear recommendations on how a specific technology can be effectively adopted and integrated into existing youth mental health services.

CAMH has teamed up with Trillium Health Partners and SickKids to launch a two-year pilot project, funded by the Medical Psychiatry Alliance (MPA), aiming to help youth with first-episode psychosis (FEP). The Technology-Enabled Collaborative Care for Youth (TECC-Y) project, brings together an interprofessional team —a psychiatrist, an occupational therapist, a dietician, and social worker—to provide holistic care to youth ages 16 to 29 with FEP, through a web-based platform.
