Medication and YOUth: A Resource for Youth by Youth Forum topic
Research has shown that a type of antidepressants, called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), can help reduce the symptoms of depression in young people. This handout explains, in simple language, what SSRIs are, when youth might see the benefits and what side effects, if any, can occur. It also provides tips on how to take the medication. This resource is meant for youth. It can also be used by health care providers, pharmacists or other supports in young people’s lives to help explain SSRIs to youth.

Vaping fact sheets: What youth and educators need to know Forum topic
In collaboration by School Mental Health Ontario and the Ministry of Education, we developed vaping fact sheets for primary and secondary educators and youth. The resources contain facts on vaping, such as the laws around vaping, health risks for youth, and corrections of misconceptions. They also include where to find support and additional information on vaping.
They are available in both English and French.
