The Regional Geriatric Program of Eastern Ontario  is excited to offer it's two-day core Geriatric Education Series online on October 24th and 25th via the Zoom Platform.

Come learn with like-minded health and social care professionals who are excited and passionate about providing exemplary care to our older adults.

This is an introductory level education series that has the goal of increasing your knowledge to lead to changes in your practice.

This webinar is co-presented by the Canadian Mental Health Association Ontario’s BounceBack program, the Peter Gilgan Centre for Women's Cancers at Women’s College Hospital, the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer and the Canadian Cancer Society.

Anxiety, depression and fear of recurrence are common mental health challenges faced by cancer survivors. As a primary or community care provider, it is critical that you understand your patients’ concerns after cancer treatment and connect them to appropriate resources as they transition from cancer treatment into your care.

Please join us on Thursday June 23rd 2022 from 1pm - 2pm ET for the Understanding Depression in Later Life Workshop. This free workshop series is for older adults 65 years and older and their caregivers where we’ll discuss:

- What is depression?
- What does depression look like?
- How can you stay well and get the support you need?.

After the meeting you will receive a summary of the presentation in multiple languages, including community-based resources.

In this latest speaker series, our resident psychiatrist Dr. Josiah Osagie will provide a talk on understanding depression in black youth.

This online workshop is appropriate for any health professional who is interested in hypnosis and curious about how hypnosis can be applied to treating mental health problems, such as depression, anxiety, trauma and pain and improving quality of life and promoting wellness.
